Meet the Deans
The father of the Dean children came from a big family. One of seven, he enjoyed always having someone to talk to and someone to play with. When he was eight years old, he went up to his mother and told her that he was going to get married and have ten kids; nine girls and one boy. The sex of the children changed while he grew but the number never changed. Even when he entered high school, he was never shy about his dream to have a big family. He told each and every one of his girlfriends and most laughed at him, breaking up with him shortly there after. Except for one and when they were 18, he married her. Two years later, they welcomed their first child. Within nine years, they welcomed four more children – two of which were twins. With a grand total of five children, he was half way to his goal. That was until his wife was killed in a car accident, leaving him a widower with five children. After her death, he threw himself into work and into meddling in his childrens' lives, becoming a Mr. Mom of sorts. It wasn’t until almost ten years later that he finally dated another woman. At first he hated her. She had a thick accent (she hailed from Scotland) and was very blunt with all of her thoughts. It wasn’t until she admitted that she had three children of her own that he actually liked her. She told him how she had adopted all three children from different countries without the 100% consent of her longtime boyfriend and that one day, he just left. More importantly, she told him how she didn’t care that she had lost her boyfriend because her children were her world. With that single statement, he was in love with her. Shortly thereafter they began to date and within two years they were married. They moved into together, creating a family of a grand total of 10 (including the parents). Even though the house was full of mayhem, his dream of having ten children still wasn’t complete. Just a few short years after being married, they adopted two more children and with the two, the Dean family was completed.

Premise
I’ll make it simple, the premise for this psl group is a blended family living in Cohasset, Massachusetts. They come from different backgrounds, they have different ideas, opinions, and dreams and most of all – they all don’t get along. The Deans are like the Brady Bunch but better. Yes, they are all close after ten years but not all problems are resolved in a thirty minute tv show. Sides are taken, fists are thrown, and tears are shed. familyunit is here for all the things it means to be a family. The community will be kept small and anyone outside of family or neighbors will need a direct connection in. Basically, don’t come into the game as the first son’s fiancée when there isn’t even a first son in the game yet. Don’t worry, connections should be easy to come by. For now, familyunit out!

Application
Before applying, please make sure that you have a first entry up and viewable. Your first entry can be in any form that you want - a bio, a first person narrative, a survey, or a list of facts. Just make sure that you have one and that the entry gives a great deal of insight into your character. A highly recommended survey is located above the application. However, any work as long as you fill them out completely with a reason why for each question. There are no rules as of yet but all the golden ones do apply, obviously and will be enforced. As far as challenges are concerned, they are limited to one per face and now on to the application!

Nickname: Your character's most common nickname, please.
Played By: Please state if they were held for you!
Age & Birthdate: This is so a timeline of the Dean children can be created.
Aim & Journal: Both IC styled. The journals must relate to the character's name without any adjectives or numbers. However, aim names can contain adjectives such as smiley susie.
Connection to the family: Connections can be as small or as big as you want but please make them directly connected to the actual family. You can't put your connection as a best friend to the neighbor but you can have high school friend to the Dean's oldest son while still have your character be the best friend to the neighbor.

Holds
All holds will last 48 hours. Extensions last for 48 hours, as well. If your hold expires, you have 24 hours to respond or your hold will be removed. Please remember that if you are not holding a position listed here, you will need a direct connection in. Again, please don't just hold connections without talking to the person about it first. The connection to the family can be as little or as big as you want, just as long as it is there! Challenges are allowed; we will wait for both applications to deliberate, and as soon as each application is in, we will make our decision within 24 hours.
